These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between you (the customer) and Bear’s Necessiteas (operated by Claire Lee, sole trader, based in the UK) when you purchase from or browse our website: www.bearsnecessiteas.co.uk.
By using our website and placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before ordering.
1. About Bear’s Necessiteas
Bear’s Necessiteas is a small, independent bakery based in the UK. All our baked goods – including afternoon teas, brownies, blondies, cookies, cakes, and scozzas – are freshly made to order in a domestic kitchen.
We’re registered with our local authority (Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council) and follow food hygiene best practices.
Our store is powered by GoDaddy Airo, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
2. Orders & Availability
All products are baked to order. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order. Please take the time to read and check your order carefully at each stage of the process.
You must be 18 years or older to place an order through our website. By ordering, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that all details you provide are accurate and complete.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at any time, for example if:
If we cancel your order, you’ll be contacted promptly and issued a full refund where applicable.
3. Prices & Payment
All prices listed on our website are in pounds sterling (£) and include any applicable taxes.
Our prices exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due before you complete your order.
We accept payment by the methods shown at checkout, including credit or debit card and PayPal. Orders will not be baked or shipped until full payment has cleared.
All card payments are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your card issuer. If your payment is not authorised, we won’t be able to process your order, and we won’t be responsible for any delay or non-delivery as a result.
Prices may change from time to time, but the price shown at checkout is the one that applies to your order – except in cases of obvious error.
If a pricing error is clear and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake, we’re under no obligation to provide the product at that incorrect (lower) price, even if an invoice has been issued.
4. Delivery
All details regarding delivery — including timeframes, costs, and locations we can deliver to — can be found in our Delivery Policy.
In short:
We cannot accept responsibility for delivery delays or non-delivery caused by circumstances outside our control (for example, postal strikes, adverse weather, incorrect addresses, or if no one is available to accept delivery).
5. Refunds, Returns & Cancellations
Due to the perishable nature of our bakes, we can’t accept returns unless there’s a problem with your order. Full details are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

6. Allergens & Dietary Information
All our bakes are prepared in a domestic kitchen that handles all 14 major allergens, including gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, soya, sulphites, and mustard.
While we do our best to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens.

It’s your responsibility to check allergen information before ordering. If you have any concerns, please get in touch before placing your order - we’re always happy to help clarify ingredients.
7. Product Information
All our treats are homemade, and part of their charm is that each one is unique.
Because they’re made by hand, you may notice small variations in shape, size, or decoration - this doesn’t affect the taste or quality.
We do our best to make our product photos and descriptions as accurate as possible, but colours and presentation can vary slightly due to lighting or packaging.
Some of our bakes feature well-known chocolates like Guylian®, Freddo®, or other branded sweets. We love them, we use them, and we want you to know exactly what’s in your treat — but we’re not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those brands.
All product names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Taste is subjective; while our recipes are tested and approved by our customer panel, we can’t offer refunds based on personal taste preference.
8. Website Use & Content
All content on this website (including text, images, branding, and product descriptions) belongs to Bear’s Necessiteas. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of our content without written permission.
You’re welcome to share our content on social media (and we love when you do!) provided it’s credited to Bear’s Necessiteas and not used for commercial purposes.
We do our best to keep information on the site accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee that the website or its contents will always be free from errors or interruptions.
We may update or make changes to our website from time to time to reflect updates to our products, customer feedback, or changes in our business.
Our website is made available free of charge. We don’t guarantee that it (or any content on it) will always be available or run without interruption.
We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict access to part or all of the website for business, maintenance, or technical reasons — but if that ever happens, we’ll do our best to give you reasonable notice.
