All our treats are baked to order and so we require 48 hours from receiving your order to bake and then ship. The bakery is closed weekends and bank holidays. Any orders received Friday or over the weekend may not be produced until the next working day i.e. Monday or Tuesday if Monday is a bank holiday.
We ship orders using Royal Mail Tracked 24®. Delivery cost starts at £4.45.
While we make every effort to deliver your order within a reasonable timeframe, we cannot be held responsible for parcels not being delivered or collected caused by circumstances beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to incorrect delivery information being provided, if the recipient is not able to accept the delivery, adverse weather, postal strikes, government lockdown.
How you can help us to ensure a smooth delivery:
· Please ensure the delivery address is correct. If your order has not yet been prepared for despatch, we may be able to amend the delivery address. Please contact us immediately if you wish to make any changes, and we will check this for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to change delivery addresses once an order has been packed or despatched. Incorrect addresses will not be eligible for a refund.
· Please provide an accurate phone number and email address to receive delivery updates. Once Royal Mail has the package, we are no longer responsible for delivery. We will provide your details to Royal Mail, who will then contact you with confirmation of a delivery date. If the details you provide are incorrect, we cannot accept responsibility for any delivery issues.
· Please be available to receive delivery. Please ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery, as our parcels are too large to fit through standard letter boxes. Missed deliveries are not eligible for a refund. If having someone available might be an issue, when Royal Mail sends an email to confirm that your parcel is on its way, you can click the link within the email to set delivery preferences. Additionally, if the house where the goods are being delivered has a dog, please consider this when selecting a safe place for delivery, as some of our treats can be harmful to pets.
DELIVERY FAQ:
When will I receive my order?
Typically, you can expect to receive your order within 3-4 working days of placing it. We require a couple of days to bake and ship the goods. Once shipped, delivery is usually next day. You’ll receive an email confirmation from Royal Mail confirming a delivery date. Please bear in mind that the bakery is closed on weekends and bank holidays. Any orders received Friday or over the weekend may not be processed until the next working day i.e. Monday or Tuesday if Monday is a bank holiday.
How much is delivery?
We ship orders using Royal Mail Tracked 24®. The delivery cost is currently £4.45.
If the parcel’s weight exceeds 2kg, the delivery cost will increase to £7.90. This adjustment will be made automatically at checkout. Most of our parcels weigh 1.2-1.6kg.
Which couriers do you use for deliveries?
We ship orders using Royal Mail Tracked 24®.
Do you deliver all over the UK?
Sadly, no. We only deliver to mainland UK. We are unable to deliver to Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight, or any other UK island at present. Sorry about that, we just can’t guarantee that our goodies will get there in decent time. Here are the postcodes we can’t deliver to: AB, BT, DD, FK, HS, IM, IV, KA, KW, KY, ML, PA, PH, TD, ZE.
Do you deliver internationally?
Unfortunately not. We can’t get our treats overseas in decent time and so we can only deliver to mainland UK for now.
Do you offer same day delivery?
Sorry, no.
Do you offer next day delivery?
We don’t offer guaranteed next day delivery but if you get in touch, we can see what we can manage. Realistically, if it’s after 10am, probably not. If you’re ordering brownies or blondies, probably not.
Do you deliver to hospitals, hotels, offices and universities?
We do yes, but please be aware that these parcels are usually delivered to a central location, such as a reception desk, rather than directly to the requested recipient. Since the parcel may be received by anyone within the premises, we cannot take responsibility for deliveries to such locations. The limit of our tracking concludes with proof of delivery to the premises, and not the recipient.
Before sending to hospitals, hotels, offices and universities, we would advise you to check out their delivery policies. Also, be sure to add as much detail into the address as you can, for instance a ward name or number, a department. It may also be helpful to inform the recipient to check the delivery point for their gift once the delivery confirmation is received.
What happens if no one’s home for delivery?
When Royal Mail send an email to confirm that your parcel is on its way, within the body of the email you can click the link to set delivery preferences. Please note that if the postie follows your instructions and marks the parcel as delivered, any loss or damage will be the buyer’s responsibility.
How can I track my delivery?
When your parcel is dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation from Royal Mail. This email and the subsequent updates will include a link for tracking your order.
What if my delivery is damaged?
We’re sorry to hear your delivery was damaged. To help us investigate how this could have happened, please email info@bearsnecessiteas.co.uk including photos showing the damaged items together with photos of any labelling on the packaging and we look into this for you.
What if I have received an incorrect item or something is missing from my order?
If you've received an incorrect item or something is missing from your order, we’re sorry about that. Our orders are handpicked and packed so it’s possible that an error was made while preparing your parcel. Please get in touch and we can discuss some options with you.
Can you ship to multiple addresses?
Not in the same order, sorry. It’s just not something our website can handle currently. If you would like items sent to different addresses, you’ll need to place a separate order for each address.
Can I amend/cancel my order?
If your order has not yet been prepared, we may be able to amend or cancel the order. Please contact us immediately and we can check this for you.
